Concepts explained, targets never named.
We explain the vocabulary and reasoning behind value investing. That's the entire mission — no products, no picks attached.
Started from a gap between vocabulary and picks.
Value Hunters began in Neuchâtel as a side project among finance writers who noticed how much value investing content skips straight to specific stock picks, often using a ratio or two as justification, without explaining what those ratios actually measure or where they come from.
We wanted a place that fills that gap specifically — vocabulary and reasoning first, with the picks deliberately left out.
Three principles behind everything we publish.
Always free
Every guide on this site is free to read and will stay that way. We do not gate content behind sign-ups or paid tiers.
Concepts, not picks
We explain how value investing reasoning generally works. We never recommend specific stocks, funds or providers.
No hidden incentives
Value Hunters does not accept sponsorships from brokers, fund providers or financial product companies. Nothing here is paid placement.
Working out of Neuchâtel, writing for a wider audience.
Our editorial team is based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. While some examples reflect the Swiss context, the underlying concepts — the distinction between price and value, the idea of a margin of safety — apply broadly, and we keep terminology general wherever we can.
If something reads as specific to one market or accounting standard, we try to flag it clearly within the article itself.
A note on scope: Value Hunters does not offer paid services of any kind, does not manage investments on anyone's behalf, and does not provide licensed financial, legal, tax or investment advice. Nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy, hold or sell any security. Everything published here is general education. For decisions specific to your situation, speak with a qualified, licensed professional.
